The University of Greifswald is one of the oldest universities in Germany (founded 1456) and zoological research was performed here for over 100 years. However, an annual meeting of the DZG was hosted by this university just once in 1934. As we have used the last decades to restructure the research groups at the Zoological Institute and Museum according to the needs of modern zoological research, have almost completed the building activities of modern research facilities and lecture halls, and have started a joint research project with emphasis on animals (DFG-Research Training Group 2010: RESPONSE)  we feel now competent in all necessary aspects to host another DZG meeting and provide you with an exciting program.

it is a great pleasure to cordially invite you to participate in the 111th Annual Meeting of the German Zoological Society (DZG) which will be held in Greifswald from September 11 to 14, 2018!

Satellite Symposia and Workshops

Lecture halls for up to 150 participants are available for satellite symposia from Monday, Sept. 10 (8 am) to Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018 (4 pm) at no costs.

Because there are no big hotels in Greifswald and the month of September is usually a busy tourist period in Greifswald, it is advisable to make room reservations very well in advance!
