Activities in Münster with and without the DZG

Monday:

Free Tour for DZG-Meeting Participants at the LWL Naturkunde Museum (https://www.lwl-naturkundemuseum-muenster.de/de/) – Starts at 11:00. You can just show up and mention that you are part of the DZG Meeting 2026 in Münster. Jean-Luc Mathieu from the Orga-Team will be waiting for you at the entrance.

Tuesday

Evening is off to enjoy the nightlife and your fellow DZG participants in Münster (https://www.stadt-muenster.de/tourismus/einkaufen-ausgehen/ausgehen). (see personal recommendations below)

Wednesday

Wochenmarkt at the Domplatz, just adjacent to the venue (8:00-14:30)  – perfect place to pick fresh fruit or a quick bite at the food trucks for lunch.

Conference Dinner at the Zoo (https://www.allwetterzoo.de)

  • DZG Meeting Participants have also free entry into the Zoo for the whole day!
  • We have chartered a bus to bring you from the conference venue to the Zoo and back after the meeting. However, you could also walk from the city along the Aasee – app. 45-60 minutes from the conference venue.
  • We will have Cocktail-Bar (one Mock- or Cocktail per person will be on the house).

Thursday

Farewell Party at the B-Side (Münster harbor, yes Münster has an harbor; https://b-side.ms ) with music and free entrance for DZG Meeting participants.

Friday

Birding Tour to the Rieselfelder (https://rieselfelder-muenster.de). You can sign up at the registration desk. Currently, we can bring 18 people but if we have more signed up we will come up with a solution. (guids: Jürgen Gadau; Bettina Zeiss)
